SPICY SAUSAGE WITH LENTILS Ingredients: 1) Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions and pepper for 5-6 minutes until soft and golden. Remove from the pan using a slotted spoon and place in a large, deep pan. Add the bacon strips and spicy sausages to the frying pan juices and cook for 5 minutes until golden. Transfer to the deep pan. 2) Add the green lentils to the deep pan with the stock and tomato puree; stir to mix. Season well with freshly ground black pepper and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. 3) Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are cooked through, but not pulpy. 4) Add the tomato wedges and cook for a further 5 minutes.
