So you've got a website and now you need to learn how to make it work for you. Well, let's get started with a few tips for marketing your online storefront offline.

 Be sure to include your web address on ALL of your printed materials. This includes your letterhead, business cards, brochures, estimates, quotes, coffee mugs, pens, trucks and anywhere else you put your phone number!

 Send an announcement to all of your previous clients, friends, family, employees, subs and associates. Let them know about the grand opening of your online location and pass on the web address!

 Advertise a special offer - a discount, drawing, contest or some other incentive to get people to check out your website.

 Send a press release to the local media announcing the opening of your new online store. (This will work especially well if you are the first business from your industry and/or from your community to get online.)

 Sell advertising to local businesses that provide products or services to your customers.
