Inspiration - "Food For Thought"

It's not always easy to be self-employed. There are many times when the emotionaland financial stress of owning your own business can start to get you down. You maywonder why you do it in the first place.

Well, if it ever happens to you, you're not alone. Being self-employed carries a lotof responsibility. It takes dedication and hard work. It also reaps great rewards. As in any business, it will take several years to build a strong and profitable home-basedbusiness.

I have decided to add a short "Inspirational" section to each newsletter to remind uswhy we have choosen this path and why it is worth it to continue. If you have any books, quotes or experiences you feel would be useful to others please let me know and I willpost them so that we may all benefit! Terri Gray

So that said, here is some "Food For Thought":

Food for thought!

If you are distressed by anything
external, the pain is not due to the
thing itself, but to your estimate of it;
and this you have the power to revoke
at any moment.

Marcus Aurelius
(121-180)

The greatest discovery of my generation
is that a human being can alter his life by
altering his attitudes of mind.

William James
(1842-1910)

Procrastination is the
fear of success.
People procrastinate because
they are afraid of the success
that they know will result if
they move ahead now.
Because success is heavy,
carries a responsibility with it,
it is much easier to
procrastinate and live on the
"someday I'll" philosophy.

Denis Waitley

The truth is that all of us
attain the greatest success
and happiness possible in this
life whenever we use our
native capacities to
their greatest extent.

Dr. Smiley Blanton

Far better it is
to dare mighty things,
to win glorious triumphs even
though checkered by failure,
than to rank with those poor
spirits who neither enjoy
nor suffer much
because they live in the gray
twilight that knows neither
victory nor defeat.

Theodore Roosevelt

Writing Ads That PULL!

If you're like me, you have spent tons of money, time and effort in writing and placing ads that didn't produce anything. Well, we're not alone. Writing good ad copy is one of the hardest things to do. And with money tight after the Holiday's along with all the time we've taken off, we need some ads that really will PULL!

Well, after I got on the Internet and started exploring some of the wonderful resources that were available, I was able to turn my ad writing "dog days" around. I would like to share with you some information that I have found on the Internet that has been helpful to me. Again, if you know of others, please share!! We can all learn from each other.
